We Established a Military Camp for the UN Peacekeeping Force in Nigeria
Karmod cabins continue to be a preferred choice in various sectors worldwide. This time, we established a military camp for the United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping Force in Nigeria. The military camp structures, specially designed for the use of the UN Peacekeeping Force, were successfully set up in the capital city of Nigeria, Abuja, as part of this project.
The project utilized a wide cabin model measuring 390x1110 cm, with each of the 18 structures covering an area of 43 m². These cabins were prefabricated using a modular demountable system in Karmod’s modern production facilities. The structures were then shipped via container transportation by sea to Lagos Port in Nigeria. From Lagos, they were transported by road to the project site in Abuja, where Karmod teams began installation on the same day. The cabins, constructed using materials sent entirely from Turkey, were completed within just 28 days and handed over to the UN Peacekeeping Force for use.
The military camp, built with Karmod’s GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) cabin model, spans a total area of 774 m² and will be utilized by the UN Peacekeeping Force for at least ten years. Karmod structures are produced in specialized technological assembly lines at our modern facilities, with a fully demountable modular cabin system. These structures can be easily transported to any part of the world under any shipping conditions. No additional building materials are required for installation, and the cabins can be set up quickly by Karmod teams. Thanks to standardized wall and roof panels, our cabin structures can be assembled on-site by just a two-person team, without the need for heavy equipment such as cranes. This advantage ensures ease of installation, even in challenging field conditions.
